| recommended by Kojima, Mike Smith the engine builder and the JWT crowd. I've been looking into the parts too, it seems that clevite isnt as focused for our rod bearings, the nissan ones are better suited for Zs. The trimetal Z32 bearings, altho good enough for our car, are still softer. I guess knowing that, you might as well over build it if you can. But from what I have been told from the opinions I have spoken about, they all seem to think the AL Z31 bearing is the way to go, as long as you change your oil regularly, which you are supposed to do anyway. Contamination doesn't happen to the extreme to ruin anything if you are meticulous with keeping your oil fresh and clean. I figured I throw in what I've been learning about the matter. But I do respect the Z32 bearing opinion, it was made for the car and fits well without having to grind into tolerances. The only thing is it is on a lot of road car, but ultimately as long as you keep the internal oil clean and without debris, you would have less possibility of rod knock in higher mileage with a hard driven high hp car. I'm still considering both options tho.
